In Most English Literature class, you usually will start with classics and core texts from the country you are studying. Then after that it will go through historical landmarks, such as the work of Toni Morrison, William Shakespeare, and Charles Dickens. You will also be doing some classics foreign texts. As it continues, you will be exploring a lot of different authors and genres that might interest you. 

You will be tested on your writing and reading skills from this learning style. English Literature require a lot of reading and writing but it will help you a lot with your future.
