What can you Learn in Incentive English Language Art 8-10
Read This Before You Start!
For all incentive courses , you will need to get into the incentive program. To get into the incentive program, you will need to get accepted from the interview.
Incentive Humanities 8: For Humanities 8, no matter if you are incentive or not this course is mix with English and Social Studies. In incentive humanities 8 Students will be able to develop their personal, communication, thinking and social core skills. There are 4 big ideas that are developed for middle-aged students. First, for geography, your knowledge and skills will be expanded from grade 7. Second is literature, it is mostly on reading comprehension and writing skills. Third is reading, you will have a chance to read novels, short stories, poems, non-fiction, and informative texts. This course will also include additional reading group projects and activities. Students will also need to develop their critical thinking skills.
Incentive English Language Art 9: In Incentive English Language Art 9, you will continue on Communication, Critical thinking skills and social core competencies from grade 8, with these critical thinking skills, with this communication you can present information and ideas fluency and understand better with the confidence. And understanding the difference between the language and culture In this course, you will be having a lot of independent study, group projects and discussion.
Incentive Composition And Literary Studies 10: For Incentive Composition Literary Studies, it will be based on Focused Literary Studies, Composition Creative Writing, and Spoken Language. It is unlike grade 8 and 9, for grade 10 we will add a few new parts.They will also need to develop their written communication skills from questioning, exploring, and sampling. They will need to dive into literature when they explore specific periods and authors. This course requires English Language Arts 10 in order to graduate.
